After working in fundamental and clinical wet labs for several years, she switched to the administrative side of science and now works in the cancer axis of the CRCHUM. She also works independently as a flexibility and dance teacher. Kishanda had her first child in 2017 and went on to volunteer as a breastfeeding support volunteer for new parents in her neighbourhood.
